La Glamour—Ready to Relax?

Bath I love taking baths. Can you tell me which bath oils are for relaxing and which are for revving me up?
Adding a few drops of lavender oil can chase away tension; chamomile oil can calm you, and peppermint oil is invigorating (and good for headaches).

Note: Artificially scented products won’t achieve the same results as using the pure essential oils. It’s not just about smell; some say it’s about the medicinal properties of the oil.

What is a pore, and how does it get clogged?
A pore is a small opening in the skin’s surface. It becomes clogged due to the buildup of dead skin cells, sebum (oil) and bacteria. This sticky combination creates a “plug” (technically called a comedone) that clogs the pore and prevents the free flow of oil out of the pore. If the skin’s surface isn’t properly cared for, these can lead to blackheads (open comedones that appear black due to oxygen—not dirt) and whiteheads (closed comedones that appear white due to trapped puss), which if infected, leads to the Big Z. Zits!

Your next logical question will be, “Yikes, how do I prevent clogged pores?” (On behalf of all your Brio sisses, thanks for asking!) According to your skin type (dry, normal, oily, combination) you need to properly cleanse, tone, exfoliate and moisturize your skin. If you’re breaking out, add a product with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid to treat the acne. And if you want more info, check out my book Glamour Girls!

Clips The TLC Treatment
Your hair has to withstand wind, rain, blow-dryers, flatirons, claw clips and ponytail holders. Many moisturizing hair products will give your tresses tender loving care with their perfecting and protecting ingredients.

Want to kick-up softness and shine? Try a hair crème.

mags Is your hair dying of thirst? A moisture replenishing mask will give it the drink it needs.

Does it constantly tangle? Spritz on a detangling conditioning mist to make it instantly manageable.

Artist Expression
“Make-up is fun. Some days I have more natural colors on my eyes, and some days I have smoky or crazy colors like greens, pinks and yellows. Either way, I’m the same person, and I have the same heart.”
